Born in Hokkaido, Japan, Leo Michibata began his piano
studies at the age of six with Mutsumi Iwasaki and at the
age of ten, with Akira Kuroyama.
He has participated in international master classes with
Massimo Somenzi, Christian A. Pohl, Jan Jiracek von
Arnim and Markus Groh.
He has won prizes in several piano competitions in Japan
and has performed in Japan, Germany, and Italy.
He studied at the Sapporo Otani University in the class of
Akira Kuroyama.
Currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik und
Darstellende Kunst Mannheim with Prof. Moritz Winkelmann.
